Community Description:For all who honor the Feminine Divine

Goddess Folk

The Feminine Divine is present in many paths and in many forms, as goddess, saint, bodhisattva, lwa, orisha, devi or spirit. This community is for those who honor the Feminine Divine as a part or all of their spiritual practice regardless of their path. Whether you are taking the first steps toward a new calling or are walking down a well-trodden path, all are welcome.

Just a few things to keep in mind when participating in this community:

We are here to share our love of the Feminine Divine in Her many forms. Art, poetry, stories, personal practices, and discussion are welcome on this topic. Posts strictly about non-female entities are not on topic, however it is OK to include references to non-female deities in relation to a feminine entity. For example, if you're discussing the Sumerian myth of the goddess Inanna's descent into the underworld, it is impossible to accurately depict the story without mentioning Enki, god of wisdom, as he was the one who brought her back to life.

Be respectful. Not everyone honors the same spiritual entities in the same way -- discussing differences in practice is encouraged, but this is not the place to put down others' individual spiritual practices. Flaming or proselytizing is not allowed.

Have courtesy for others' reading pages and slow internet connections. Place long entries and large images behind a cut.
